Develop Your Workforce

Horizon Goodwill offers employers a variety of resources designed to assist with employee retention and development.

Post employment supports and follow-up are offered to all individuals hired from Goodwill. On- and off-site support, coupled with regular consultation with employers, promotes faster acquisition of the skills necessary to perform job tasks and successful adjustment to the new work environment.

With support from the Hitachi Foundation, Goodwill Industries partnered with several employers and Chambers of Commerce to research strategies and develop and implement resources to reduce turnover and increase advancement opportunities for low-wage workers. When you partner with Horizon Goodwill Industries, these field tested strategies and resources can be individually tailored to help you retain and develop your employees.

Horizon Goodwill Industries provides the bridge between local labor force needs and willing workers through our Business Advisory Councils. Comprised of representatives from local industries, these councils present members with opportunities to propose and shape training curricula offered by Goodwill, tackle obstacles that interfere with access to a qualified labor force, and share effective strategies toward development of human resources.
